SOBER LIVING
Sober living homes provide safety and accountability for men and women with addiction and mental health issues to rebuild their lives and continue their path of recovery
SOBER LIVING DURING PROGRAMMING
Many clients will choose to reside in a sober living environment during partial day, intensive outpatient, and outpatient programs.
Sober living provides the opportunity to live in a healthy and safe home, free of alcohol and drugs, usually after completing treatment at an inpatient facility. A step down from residential treatment for men and women transitioning back into their everyday lives through sober living programs.
Determining the appropriate next step can be challenging, as various options exist. The steps you take to treat substance abuse and psychological health after inpatient treatment, known as “aftercare,” will create an effective plan that is critical for success in early recovery for the client, and choosing a sober living that is the right fit is a fundamental part of many of these plans.
Some benefits of choosing sober living during programming include:
- Constant Guidance and Support
- Meaningful, Sober Relationships
- Restored Life Skills
- Independence
- Accountability
- Easier Transition Back to Mainstream Life
- Mitigating the Risk of Relapse
Transitional housing provides a community of people committed to living clean, sober, and in recovery together. Remember that every single sober living arrangement is unique in the degree of what they provide. The inclusive and optional amenities included in the home vary from place to place.
